TRANSPORTED SEMEN AGREEMENT
BROKEN ARROW PERFORMANCE HORSES
This agreement is to reserve shipped semen for the stallion _________________ AQHA/APHA who is standing at Broken Arrow Performance Horses for the 2007 breeding season. This contract is in addition to the agreed booking and stud fee and breeding contract. The mare owner agrees to the following:
1. The mare owner agrees to obtain the necessary permits for the mare from the appropriate registries prior to shipment of semen, and to provide a copy of the mare's papers with this contract. Mare owner also agrees that a qualified Veterinarian or AI Technician will breed the mare in a clean environment.
2. Prior to the shipment of the semen, the mare owner shall pay to Broken Arrow Paints (BAPH) a non-refundable Booking Fee of $250.00, as outlined in the breeding contract. And a $300.00 semen shipment fee (we are not able to ship counter to counter). These fees are in addition to any breeding fee. The semen shipment fee covers the first two shipments of semen (there will be an additional shipment cost of $150.00 per shipment following. If the shipment is not received by the mare owner due to an error by the delivery system (Fed Ex, etc.) the mare owner will not be required to pay for the lost shipment.
3. BAPH represents to the mare owner that any semen transported will be from the stallion _________________, in whose name a Semen Transportation Permit has been issued by the AQHA/APHA. Breeding certificates will be issued upon the birth of the foal as outlined in the breeding contract.
4. While 24 hours notice is desirable, we will do our best to accommodate your individual needs. Please advise us when your mare comes into heat and, if known, the duration of her normal heat cycles so that we may make tentative plans and arrange our schedule accordingly. Federal Express does have Sunday delivery to a limited number of areas, and a lot of areas do have Saturday delivery. If Federal Express is not available to your area, we will need to take that into consideration and ship so that your mare can be covered on the weekend if that is when ovulation is expected to occur. We realize that mares are not always predictable and will work with you to the best of our ability to have semen available when you need it.
5. Normal breeding schedule for all the stallions is Mon, Wed, & Fri. Since shipment requires that we have time to package and deliver the semen to the shipping company, you must advise us by 12.00 p.m. (Oregon time) the day prior to needing your shipment.
6. All breeding fees and shipping fees must be paid before semen will be shipped unless other arrangements have been made and agreed upon.
7. Equitainers must be returned with 48 hours or there will be a $50 fee for every day past 48 hours. Breeder’s certificates will be held if equitainers aren’t returned in the condition they were sent. There will be a $300.00 fee for any damaged or missing parts of the equitainer, this fee must be paid before any breeders certificates will be issued.
